Dt.Danielle Shepherd

Dt. Danielle Shepherd is a highly accomplished individual who has made significant  contributions to various organizations and communities. She was elected on December 14, 2024, as the Illustrious Commandress of Magnus Court No. 100, leading a membership of over 50.

Illustrious Commandress Danielle Shepherd is a proud Daughter of Magnus Court No. 100, Oasis of Alexandria, Desert of Virginia, where she has served as a Daughter of the A.E.A.O.N.M.S., for eight years.  She was created on November 11, 2017, under the leadership of then Illustrious Commandress Daughter Rashida Barbee.  On her path of service to Magnus Court No. 100 Daughter Shepherd began her work in the position of Outside Spy and has also served diligently in the positions of both Second and First Ceremonial Daughter, Oriental Guide, High Priestess and 2nd and 1stLieutenant Commandress.  Illustrious Commandress Shepherd has served successfully on and chaired numerous committees within the Court, most notably Community Service and Involvement, Daughters Imperial Mentoring Excellence (D.I.M.E.), and Ways and Means, as well as being the first Desert Newsletter representative for the Court.  Of specific note is her achievement of the title of Desert Queen of Virginia having been crowned during the 41st Virginia Desert Conference of Constituent Courts and honorably represented and served her Desert from October 2022 through May 2024.

Illustrious Commandress Shepherd has been a dedicated member of Pride of Fairfax Chapter #225, Order of Eastern Star, since March 2017, where she served as Worthy Matron for the 2023 – 2024 administrative year.  She has also a member of Shadrack Jackson Assembly #156, Order of The Golden Circle, since 2021 and Divine Chapter No. 8, Heroines of Jericho, since 2022.

A staunchly proud native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Illustrious Commandress Shepherd has resided in Northern Virginia for 32 years having come to the area in April 1993 as an Active-Duty service member of the United States Air Force, where she served specifically in the Air National Guard, beginning at the National Guard Bureau in the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia.  She ascended to the rank of Senior Master Sergeant (E-8) in the career fields of Knowledge Operations Management and Financial Management.  During an illustrious career of stellar accomplishment, she received three Meritorious Service Medals and two Commendation among many other accolades, to include Airman of the Year.  She also completed Associates of Applied Science degrees from the Community Collage of the Air Force in both of her career fields.  Illustrious Commandress Shepherd retired from the United States Air Force on June 1, 2013, after over 24 years of honorable service after which she continued her higher education with several academic pursuits seen to fruition.

A strong believer in the power of education and academic excellence, Illustrious Commandress Shepherd completed a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (2015), during which time she received the monetary recognitions of the President’s Award and the Charlotte Newcomb scholarship for women pursing degrees in the technical fields.  This was followed by completion of a Master Certificate in Cybersecurity and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Policy (2017) all from University of Maryland University College.  Most recently Illustrious Commandress Shepherd returned to her academic endeavors completing a Master of Business Administration from University of Maryland Global Campus (2022)).  She also holds a Master Certificate of Project Management in Information Systems and Information Technology from Villanova University (2011).   

 

Illustrious Commandress Shepherd is a federal government employee assigned to the Defense Logistics Agency – Energy where she serves as a Metrics Data and Performance Analyst in the Fuels Program of the Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization Division.  She resides in Woodbridge, Virginia with her 14 year old, apple of her eye son, Austin.
